Dr. Neeti Shikha
Dr. Neeti Shikha holds over a decade of experience in researching and teaching in the area of corporate laws and governance. She holds a PhD from National Law University Jodhpur in area of corporate governance. She has completed her LLM from University College London, UK. She has held academic positions at various law and business schools in India and Singapore.
Previously, she was assistant professor at IMT Ghaziabad, India’s leading business school. She also worked as an Assistant Professor & Director, Centre for Corporate and Commercial Laws at National Law University Jodhpur, followed by her stint at Fore School of Management. She has held visiting positions at IIM Rohtak and IIFT, New Delhi. Currently, she is a faculty member at Faculty of Law, University of Bradford.
Dr. Umakanth Varottil
He specializes in corporate law and governance, mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance. While his work is generally comparative in nature, his specific focus is on India and Singapore. He has co-authored or co-edited five books, published articles in international journals and founded the IndiaCorpLaw Blog. He has also taught on a visiting basis at law schools in Australia, India, Italy, New Zealand and the United States.
Dr. Surbhi Kapoor
Dr. Surbhi Kapur, currently an Associate professor at Indian institute for Corporate Affairs, is a trained legal professional, having more than seven years of professional experience, working as an academic and a legal researcher with the High Court of Delhi, Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), Central Information Commission (CIC), and the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India (IBBI).She is an alumnus of the National Academy of Legal Studies and Research (NALSAR) University of Law, Hyderabad and Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU), New Delhi, India, wherein she held an outstanding academic record being adjudged as the University Topper and highest CGPA holder. She has also been a Visiting Scholar at the Elisabeth Haub School of Law, Pace University, United States of America (USA); and associated with research at the University of Groningen (the Netherlands).
Stewart Maiden KC
He practises in complex commercial litigation, and has a broad appearance and advice practice which encompasses cross-border and domestic insolvency, fiduciary and fraud-related actions, banking and finance disputes, corporate control disputes and general commercial litigation. Clients and instructors recognise him as being numerate, articulate and approachable. He has authored books as well as articles on insolvency and bankruptcy regime, which has also been relied on by the courts.
Mr. Debanshu Mukherjee
Mr. Debanshu Mukherjee is co-founder of the Vidhi Centre for Legal Policy. He is a specialist in policy issues in bankruptcy, financial regulation, and corporate governance and has advised the Government of India on the design, drafting and implementation of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016, among other financial sector legislation. He had previously worked as an mergers and acquisition and regulatory lawyer at AZB & Partners.
