Dr. Anand Kumar Singh is a law graduate from Campus Law Centre, University of Delhi and completed his Masters in Law (LL.M.) with specialization in Corporate and Competition Law from the National Law University, Jodhpur. He also holds, Masters in Business Laws (MBL) from National Law School of India University, Bangalore. His Doctoral thesis (Ph.D.) was on “Arbitrability of Competition Law Disputes in U.S. and India”.

His teaching and research interests are in the areas of Competition Law; Insolvency laws; Mergers and Acquisitions; Securities Laws (SEBI Laws) and Banking Laws. Before pursuing a career in academics, he worked in law firms and practiced law before High Courts of Allahabad and Delhi and Tribunals for a brief period of two years. He has to his credit several publications in national and international journals of high repute. He occasionally delivers expert lectures on areas Corporate and Business laws in professional training programs, capacity building programs apart from academic conferences, workshops and seminars. He also guides and supervises the research work and journal publication of Centre on Competition Law and Policy (CCLP); Centre for Studies in Banking and Finance (CSBF); Centre for Insolvency and Bankruptcy Studies (CIBS) and Centre for Corporate Governance at NLU, Jodhpur.

He has been awarded Research Fellowship and Sponsorship by National Foundation of Corporate Governance (NFCG), Ministry of Corporate Affairs (Govt. of India), to undertake an empirical research on “Role of Proxy Advisors in Efficient and Effective Governance of Indian Corporations: Promoting Shareholder Activism or Increasing Dependency for Informed Decision Making” (2022). He holds the membership of prestigious “Network of Indian Competition Experts” (NICE) Group constituted under the aegis of Competition Commission of India.

Mr. Sarthak Mishra is an Assistant Professor, Faculty of Law, National Law University, Jodhpur. He completed his B.A.LL.B. from Hidayatullah National Law University (with Corporate and Trade & Investment as his Honours subjects) in 2017 and have completed Masters in Law, specializing in Corporate Law from National Law University, Jodhpur in 2019.

Prior to his joining National Law University, Jodhpur as an Assistant Professor, he was working as a Legal Advisor to the Government of Chhattisgarh. His major interest area in law includes International Arbitration and International Investment Law, International Commercial Law, Competition Law and International Trade Law. In addition to his educational qualifications, he is also a qualified Associate Arbitrator (ACIArb.) as well as a Mediator (conferred Indian Institute of Arbitrators and Mediators (IIAM), India).
